#2 algae bloom

Hey,

I am getting a 2nd round of diatoms and a green dusty algae. A lot of it collects on the glass and super easy to rub off. When I get home its hard to see through it just like a green tint. everything in the tank seems good. Also on the glass is thousands of little pods which is prolly a good thing.

Any suggestions? Hints? it seems normal for people with there tank around the 3 month mark...sounds like I am there also.

Near a window? My tank is across from a window. I get that green dusty tint everyday. Wouldn't say its and algae bloom vs normal. Grab a mag float and consider it maintenance.

Yea, my tank is next to a window. It also like coated some rock, But that could be due to flow?

Low flow can allow algae to build up. I would guess due to detritus build up. The window will def grow algae though. I don't fuss over it. Takes 1 minute after work to wipe it down.
